Board of Directors
The Center for Mathematics and Teaching has a Board of Directors (5 members), Advisory Board (6 members),
and Officers (4 officers), who also lead the management team.
Brian Hoey
Mr. Hoey served as former Executive Director of College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM) from 1993-2011. CPM is an educational non-profit organization dedicated to improving grades 6-12 mathematics instruction, Prior to involvement with CPM he taught mathematics at Christian Brothers High School (Sacramento) for 35 years. Brian’s invaluable guidance, based on his CPM experiences, during organizational stages of CMAT helped CMAT get started and established. He is currently Chairman of the Board.Brian earned his B.A. at St. Mary’s College of California in mathematics and history (1970) and his M.A. in history at California State University, Sacramento (1977).
